Yahsat’s mobility, commercial data divisions report lower revenue but company maintains overall profit level

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Fixed and mobile satellite services provider Yahsat reported a 3% decline in revenue for the six months ending June 30 but big increases in adjusted EBITDA and net income as a cash payment from Airbus Defence and Space for a late satellite delivery overcame the effects of a new United Arab Emirates 9% corporate income tax and a satellite anomaly.

UAE government support for Yahsat through long-term contracts has given the company’s Infrastructure and Managed Solutions divisions a firm backlog of $6.7 billion . . .
