PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Yahsat has purchased a minority share of L-band GEO-satellite-to-telephone messaging service startup eSAT Global Inc., with Yahsat’s Thuraya mobile satellite services provider signing a commercial agreement to access eSAT’s services provided through Thuraya’s satellites.
UAE-based Yahsat did not disclose the amount of the investment, but said it gives the company a foothold “to participate in a fast-growing sector that is still significantly under-penetrated and is closely aligned with Yahsat’s strategy of prioritizing . . .
