PARIS — Eutelsat’s integration of OneWeb was described as a merger, but the organization announced Sept. 28 looks to have dropped that pretense to emerge as one in which Eutelsat is firmly in control and in the process of nudging out OneWeb management.
Apparently freed from having to set aside large swaths of UK control over OneWeb as a result of the UK government’s “golden share,” the post-merger OneWeb has taken on a pronounced French coloration.
Whether the golden share means anything anymore . . .
