PARIS — A bakery that rations bread because it doesn’t have enough flour to meet demand doesn’t usually report record quarterly revenue and EBITDA, but that’s the position of satellite broadband service and hardware provider Viasat Inc.
Viasat went further, and said its U.S. satellite consumer broadband business losses several thousand subscribers in the three months ending June 30 but still managed to maintain its quarterly revenue total as more subscribers elected to pay for higher-speed packages.
