US National Reconnaissance Office widens imagery purchases, prepares multi-year commercial radar procurement

MOUnTAIN VIEW, Calif. — The U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) — the agency that in 2022 signed contracts for more than $4 billion over 10 years for optical imagery from Maxar, BlackSky and Planet Labs — is preparing two new contracting vehicles for 2025 to measure commercial industry’s capacity to deliver.
