PARIS — Satellite geospatial imagery and services provider UrtheCast Corp. announced to agreements with two Chinese Earth imagery providers — one to bolster UrtheCast’s current image-collection ability, and the second to secure anchor customers for Urthecast’s future satellite constellation.
The agreements illustrate the increasing diversity of China’s commercial space sector generally, and specifically its Earth observation business, which is no longer a 100% government operation.
