PARIS — Britain and the European Commission restarted negotiations on Britain’s possible return to the Copernicus satellite Earth observation program but their opening offers remain far apart, government and industry officials said.
Michelle Donelan, UK state secretary for Science, Innovation and Technology, met with European Research and Innovation Commissioner Mariya Gabriel April 4 in Brussels to discuss a British return to several EU programs, including Copernicus.
