PARIS — The United Arab Emirates government, confirming its reputation as as solid-gold anchor customer for national satellite operator Yahsat, gave Yahsat the go-ahead for a 17-year, $5.1-billion contract to provide satellite capacity and managed services.
The contract brings Yahsat’s firm backlog to $7 billion, more than 16 times the company’s projected 2023 revenue.
