WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Army does not want to juggle competing technical standards in order to access the myriad new commercial LEO satellite constellations expected to come online in the coming years.
“Right now, unless we do something, I’m going to need a different terminal to use the SpaceX constellation, and the OneWeb constellation, and other constellations,” said Army Maj. Gen. David Bassett, program executive officer, C3-Tactical.
