PARIS — Thai satellite fleet operator Thaicom Plc reported a sharp drop in costs for the nine months ending Sept. 30 but also a drop in satellite revenue as it transitioned away from its 30-year concession agreement with the Thai government.
Thaicom is now in the middle of a transition to reduce its reliance on video broadcasting, the revenue of which is decreasing, to develop an Earth observation data analytics expertise and, longer term, to operate a high-throughput, software-defined broadband distribution spacecraft.
