LA PLATA, Maryland — The historically under-utilized, and now aging, Thaicom 4/IPStar Ku-band broadband satellite may get a second lease on life through a partnership between fleet operator Thaicom and India’s NXT Digital Ltd. (NDL), part of the Hinduja Group.
The two companies have entered a strategic partnership through NDL’s OneOTT Intertainment, India’s third-largest private internet service provider, to deploy satellite broadband in India to rural and under-served regions.
