LONDON — Telesat’s LEO satellite broadband project has won industry plaudits, even from non-believers in the LEO model, for its orbital architecture including the fact that, alone among the broadband constellations in development, it features inter-satellite links and focuses on government and enterprise markets rather than providing broadband to the unconnected billions.
But in recent months industry officials have begun to question whether Telesat, a successful provider of well-proven satellite services for television and data distribution, is not having second thoughts about the project.
