Spire Global to sell commercial maritime business to analytics provider Kpler for $233.5M, removing debt pressure

PARIS — Multi-payload satelite constellation operator Spire Global is selling the non-US-government portion of its maritime business to commodities and maritime data analytics provide Kpler SAS of France for $233.5 million plus an agreement for Spire to provide Kpler 12 months of service for $7.5 million.

The transaction values Spire’s maritime business at 5.8 times its last 12 months of revenue and will enable the company to eliminate its debt and save $16 million in annual interest payments, Spire Chief Financial Officer said . . .
