PARIS — Ever-acquisitive satellite services provider Speedcast International Ltd. is buying its way into the global government services market with the purchase of UltiSat of the United States, which will become the core of Speedcast’s new Government division alongside the Energy, Maritime, Enertprise/Emerging Markets divisions.
In a July 24 investor presentation, Speedcast said it would pay $65 million initially for UltiSat, with another $35 million coming in 2018 and 2019 if UltiSat hits its performance targets.
