Space42: $500M Thuraya 4 L-band mobile sat in orbit with $799M of firm backlog; next stop, a D2D LEO constellation

LA PLATA, Maryland — UAE-based Space42, its large Thuraya 4 L-band mobile communications satellite safely on the way to its position in geostationary orbit, can now set its sights on a a planned LEO constellation to provide direct-to-device (D2D) and IoT services starting later this decade.
