Small-GEO satellite startup Swissto12: Intelsat, Viasat/Inmarsat deliveries in 2026-2027; we’re ramping to build 8 satellites/year

PARIS — Startup geostationary-orbit satellite builder Swissto12, with four anchor contracts in place — three with Viasat-owned Inmarsat, one with Intelsat — is slowly ramping production capacity to where it can produce eight satellites per year.

It’s not the kind of program you’d expect from a business widely said to be in decline as LEO constellations take market share from geostationary-orbit spacecraft.
