PARIS — SES Networks and Telesat LEO officials agreed that the long-awaited flat-panel, electronically steered antenna for the consumer satellite broadband market is still 4-5 years away, but that similar enterprise-market antennas are nearly ready.
Neither company’s business plans stand to suffer if the consumer broadband market for low-orbiting satellite constellations has to wait for years before it gets the $500 antenna needed for a mass market.
