PARIS — Satellite fleet operator SES said it has dropped, for now, the idea of separating its growing data-based Networks business from the largely stagnant Video division, a move that the market had speculated could lead to an SES video merger Eutelsat or another fleet operator.
SES Chief Executive Steve Collar said the company has concluded that all the objectives of a separation could be achieved without incurring the inevitable costs of the transaction.
