BANGKOK — Satellite fleet operator SES, more confident in its future than it has been in years, said its constellation of medium-Earth-orbit high-throughput broadband satellites is finally in take-off mode with the imminent launch of fresh satellites and contracts from government and commercial customers, while its declining video business is showing continued market relevance.
The company said it had found a modus vivendi with SpaceX’s Starlink broadband constellation that permits both to capture double-digit annual maritime connectivity growth by providing complementary services to ship owners.
