PARIS — SpaceX’s Starlink broadband satellite constellation scored its first major victory against the maritime cruise industry’s dominant satcom provider, SES Networks' O3b, by signing Royal Caribbean Group to a full-fleet commitment to Starlink.
Royal Caribbean is a long-time showcase customer of SES’s O3b medium-Earth orbit constellation and has signed an agreement to upgrade to SES’s O3b mPower constellation of much-more-capable satellites, to launch starting late this year.
