PARIS — U.S.-based wireless network operator Rivada Networks has already invested “well north of $100 million” into its German-based subsidiary, Rivada Space Networks, “and it’s about to make an exponential jump from that point,” Rivada Networks Chief Executive Declan Ganley said.
Rivada has signed a $2.4 billion satellite manufacturing contract with Terran Orbital of California for the first 300 satellites in what is intended to be two separate networks, each of 300 500-kilogram spacecraft.
