LA PLATA, Maryland — The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) will look into how to compensate commercial space companies that incur losses in crises or conflicts as a direct result of their partnership with DoD.
The assessment is part of DoD’s newly refined strategy that seeks to take increased advantage of the dynamism of the commercial space sector, including the full integration of commercial capacity as part of the Pentagon’s warfighting effort.
