LUXEMBOURG — OneWeb Satellites will open its Florida dual-production-line satellite manufacturing facility in January and be ready to produce two satellites a day from that point, the company’s assembly-line project manager said.
Pierre Bertrand did not specify whether OneWeb would elect to ramp production right away or would await the in-orbit results of its 10 demonstration satellites, now scheduled for launch in February by aboard a Europeanized Russian Soyuz rocket from Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana.
