PARIS — OneWeb took SpaceX’s Starlink to task for launching satellites that were not full production-model units and thus were prone to failure, and said SpaceX’s approach to global astronomers was “thoughtless.”
Perhaps reflecting the fact that the two most advanced mega constellations of broadband satellites, in terms of development and launch schedule, both need government and financial support, OneWeb used a conference on space sustainability to contrast its operations from those of SpaceX’s Starlink.
