PARIS — OneWeb's chairman said that the broadband constellation will have usable capacity of 1.2 terabits per second, offering the promise of more than $1 billion in annual revenue even if the bandwidth is discounted by 20%.
Sunil Bharti Mittal said OneWeb, whose March 26 launch of 36 satellites aboard India’s GSLV rocket put the company past the 588 satellites needed for global coverage, is already generating “several million [dollars] in run rate a month” and should get to “hundreds of millions of dollars” in annual revenue . . .
