PARIS — A merger of two of Europe’s space system prime contractors, Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space (TAS), would have a negative but “manageable” effect on the supply chain of Europe’s third, OHB SE, OHB has concluded.
OHB Chief Executive Marco Fuchs said the company regularly teams with TAS on space hardware contracts, especially work for the 22-nation European Space Agency (ESA). A merger would put that relationship at risk.
