PARIS — Canada-based NorthStar Earth and Space has decided to contract with Thales Alenia Space to build the first three NorthStar space situational awareness satellites without waiting to complete a delayed funding round.
The company is building a 12-satellite constellation of low-orbiting satellites that will catalogue all space objects and their positions within several meters of accuracy.
NorthStar has raised a total of 83 million Canadian dollars ($63 million), with the most-recent round, in November 2018, including investment by the Canadian federal . . .
