PARIS — Northrop Grumman’s SpaceLogistics assessed the state of the market with well-known Astroscale and startups that have similar ambitions and demonstration missions in orbit.

SpaceLogistics has two of its Mission Extension Vehicles (MEVs) attached to Intelsat spacecraft to extend those satellites’ lives and has now passed eight years of accumulated life extension, said SpaceLogistics President Robert Hauge.

The company is preparing the launch of a second-generation Mission Robotic Vehicle, which will install dishwasher-size Mission Extension Pods on customer satellites.
