LA PLATA, Maryland — The incoming European Commission’s top priorities in space and defense will be to reinforce the resilience of EU space assets to be ready for “the most extreme military contingencies” and to help Europe’s industry regain its lost competitiveness on world markets, a senior Commission official said.
Guillaume de la Brosse, head of the 27-nation Commission’s space policy unit, said Commission will pursue five main policy lines in pursuit of the two goals, starting with preparing for the evolution of the Copernicus environment . . .
