CUNCY-LES-VARZY, France — The government of Nepal has rejected all five consultants' proposals for a Nepalese domestic telecommunications satellite system, throwing the project once again into limbo.
The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) issued notices to the bidding consulting companies that “all proposals are substantially non-compliant,” and that the procurement process had been canceled.
NTA said it would start a fresh procurement effort at a later date.
Nepal has been trying to fund its own telecommunications satellite for at least five years . . .
