PARIS — Satellite hardware and Earth imaging service provider Maxar Technologies has ceased providing public updates on the launch schedule of its much-delayed WorldView Legion constellation of high-resolution optical satellites as it prepares its acquisition by private-equity investor Advent International Corp.
The transaction, which values Maxar at $6.4 billion, does not hinge on WorldView Legion’s status, despite the fact that the six-satellite constellation is key to the growth of Maxar’s Earth Intelligence division.
