PARIS — Maritime and aero connectivity provider Anuvu leases capacity on more than 50 geostationary-orbit satellites in C-, Ku- and Ka-band and will begin launching its Anuvu Constellation this year with the first two of up to eight small-GEO satellites from Astranis.
Anuvu has said owning a microGEO fleet, whose satellites have seven- to 10-year service lives, is less costly than leasing third-party capacity. For Anuvu, the constellation is a placeholder until the company can switch to one or more of the LEO broadband constellations . . .
