PARIS — The Italian government committed the first tranches of what’s expected to be several billion dollars of investment in its space sector with satellite production contracts for its IRIDE “constellation of constellations” of Earth imaging satellites.
Turin-based Argotec and Milan-based OHB Italia were given contracts totaling 68 million euros ($68 million) to build the first sets of high-resolution multispectral satellites.
