BANGKOK — A long struggle pitting satellite broadband constellation operators Eutelsat OneWeb and SpaceX’s Starlink against Indian mobile network operators (MNOs) over access to to India’s market appears to be nearing closure with an Indian government decision.

Betting that India’s Department of Telecommunications will issue a final decision on market access and pricing has never been smart. Last-minute delays have been a hallmark of Indian satellite telecom regulations and this may be no different.

But things are moving.
