WASHINGTON — The 32-nation NATO alliance has recognized space as a separate operating domain and created a Space Center of Excellence to focus on space domain awareness, operational space support and coordination but remains hampered by its inability to move quickly and adopt new technologies.
That was the consensus of a March 11 panel here during the Satellite 2025 conference, organized by Access Intelligence that featured pro-NATO industry representatives calling for NATO to wade more quickly into New Space.
