Intelsat still looking for satellite bandwidth-demand light at end of Epic tunnel

UPDATE NOV. 1: Maritime connectivity provider KVH and Intelsat announced an agreement to use Intelsat Epic satellite capacity to introduce KVH's V7-HTS product, a 60-cm dish that gives maritime customers up to 10Mbps downloads -- three times the current KVH offering, and up to 3 Mbps of upload, six times faster than the current equipment. KVH said its new Intelsat and Sky Perfect JSat capacity will extend its coverage to the South Atlantic and southern Indian Ocean regions.
