PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Intelsat said its future spending will in part depend on the evolution of its relationship with the OneWeb global constellation of low-orbiting broadband satellites.
Intelsat’s published capex plan ends in 2020 at an estimated $425 million, a relatively low rate for a 50-satellite fleet operator. Its investment in the Epic series of high-throughput satellites (HTS) ends with Horizons 3e, a joint venture with Sky Perfect JSat of Japan to be launched late this year.
