PARIS — Mobile satellite services provider Inmarsat refused to so much as speak with EchoStar Corp. about EchoStar’s takeover offer because the initial offer was so unacceptable that any engagement would be seen as weakness, Inmarsat Chief Executive Rupert Pearce said Aug. 2.
In a conference with analysts on London-based Inmarsat’s second-quarter earnings, Pearce said the company’s EchoStar experience would not effect any change in Inmarsat’s strategy.
