PARIS — The Indonesian government secured $545 million in project financing for the 150-Gbps Satria-1 broadband satellite to be built by Thales Alenia Space and launched by SpaceX, in principle in early 2023.
The financing is comprised of $431 million loans and $114 million in equity. Participating in the loan was France’s Bpifrance export-credit agency, backed by Banco Santander, HSBC Continental Europe and the Korean Development Bank.
