PARIS -- The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is reviewing industry bids for development of a radar that will form the centerpiece of the country’s proposed space situational awareness network designed to track objects in low Earth orbit.
Part of ISRO’s new NEtwork for space object TRacking and Analysis (NETRA), the radar tender marks one of India’s first steps toward developing a national space situational awareness (SSA) capability.
