PARIS — The six-year distribution agreement in India between OneWeb and broadband hardware and service provider Hughes needs just one more development before it has value: a final, signed Indian government space policy.
Past experience with Indian regulatory process argues for prudence in forecasting when and if this will be done. But both Hughes and OneWeb believe that after all the fits and starts, the Indian government is now ready to allow access by non-Indian satellites without forcing contracts through the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)
