PARIS — Geostationary-orbit satellite fleet operators Hispasat of Spain, Optus of Australia and Korea’s KT Sat remain deeply ambivalent about the LEO broadband constellations.
They acknowledge that something is coming and it could be big. But they are skeptical about whether LEOs will be a sustainable, long-term business given their cost structure and whether enough markets -- vertical and geographic -- will adopt LEO-delivered broadband.
All three said they are willing to keep an open mind and are willing to address complementary . . .
