PARIS — The French Space Command conducted its first space war-games exercise, challenging some 60 space operators to defend French space assets against multiple threats arising from a conflict between two imaginary nations somewhere in the mid-Atlantic Ocean.
The five-day exercise at the Toulouse Space Center, where the growing Space Command is based, compressed into four days a simulation of a four-week period during which a hostile power attempted an overly close proximity operation with one of the French satellites, and used an anti-satellite weapon . . .
