PARIS — France’s administrative court rejected an appeal from Viasat and broadband distribution partner Skylogic France and several environmental groups to stop the deployment of SpaceX Starlink’s satellite broadband service in France.
In addition to their appeal being refused, Viasat and Skylogic were ordered to pay Starlink Internet Services Ltd. 2,000 euros ($2,191) each in damages, a symbolic sum that is not atypical in French civil cases. Starlink has continued to operate in France during the appeals procedure.
