PARIS — The French National Frequencies Agency (ANFR) said the Telesat Lightspeed constellation of broadband satellites likely will use French-registered radio frequencies, as will the European Union’s proposed secure communications constellation.
These constellations, which are not yet in orbit, will join existing broadband constellations O3b, owned by SES; and Britain-based OneWeb in filing their spectrum requests through France. O3b and OneWeb also have frequency registrations with other regulators.
