PARIS — ArianeGroup President Alain Charmeau appears to share SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell’s skepticism about whether the nano-sat/cubesat market will be profitable enough, over the long haul, to justify developing a rocket dedicated to it.
Explaining why SpaceX has not focused on the smallsat side, Shotwell said: “A market is not just demand. It’s demand with money.”
