PARIS — The OneWeb constellation of broadband satellites has a utilization rate equivalent to 5% of its current capacity of 450 Gbps, with both figures set to rise quickly as the full 1.3-Tbps network is deployed to offer global coverage this year, Eutelsat Chief Executive Eva Berneke said May 11.
Berneke said OneWeb is on track to reach annualized revenue of $50 million by June, and that OneWeb’s firm backlog, which was $670 million in October, had risen to $900 million.
