PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Eutelsat, having stabilized its dominant broadcast division with the renewal of its biggest customer, Sky Italia, now turns its attention toward its long-standing objective of building a consumer broadband business in Europe and Africa.
Fixed broadband is still only 7% of Eutelsat’s business, accounting for 21 million euros ($24.6 million) in revenue for the three months ending Sept. 30. But this is where much of the company’s near-term growth is focused.
