LA PLATA, Maryland — The 23-nation European Space Agency’s 2025 budget of 7.68 billion euros ($7.93 billion) is a decline of 1.4% from 2024 which featured an exceptional 10% increase from 2023, and reflects a tapering off of program commitments in the run-up to ESA’s ministerial council this November.
ESA governments meet every three years to set program and budget priorities. The agreed-to funding at these meetings is then distributed over the following three years, with modifications possible in the event of program delays . . .
