BRUSSELS — The European Union this year will issue the first of what’s expected to be an annual space threat assessment based on inputs from EU member governments with their own space assessment assets.
It’s the latest example of the 27-nation EU’s casting off of its long-held complex about military space. EU and EU member governments now openly call for defense and security to be considered in just about every space program in Europe.
